Convicted by Juries Exonerated by Science

DNA fingerprinting is the use of DNA comparison to see if a person is in fact connected to the scene of the crime. DNA fingerprinting is fairly new and now that it is out people have been reviewing cases that people in jail ask for. Because of this people have been let out of jail because it is proven that they were not guilty leading to the proof that the system is not working.
David Shephard he was wrongly convicted of rape, robbery, weapons violations, and terrorist threats in 1983, he was sentenced to 30 years. David was prosecution was upon a victim’s identification of David. David was accused of taking a women into her own car where one held her down why the other drove where they took here to a residential area and raped her. When they were finished the kicked her out and drove off with her car. David was the only one not convicted of the crime.
In order for me to do DNA fingerprinting you must first have a basic knowledge of DNA. Then you must know how the process of separating DNA from the cell. You then must know how to separate certain  parts of DNA so you can target looking at only one part of the DNA. Then you have to know how to do Electro Phoresis.
From this story I am taking away the fact that the system is not working. Because the system is not working it makes me think about all the people in jail that were taken away from their life because they were wrongly accused. I think that the system does not work and that we have to change it.

This story is about a primate called Lucy and her life. Lucy was taken away from primates and socialized around humans where Lucy and her owners go through diversity to try and figure out where she belongs. In this story Lucy is taught how to live with a family where she learns how to act like a human causing her to begins to diverge from her original species.
Lucy is human in the way of her being able to communicate through a language, being attracted to humans, she eat human food, she can name things, Lucy could lie, and she was socialized into a human life/rules. Lucy was socialized to be like a human she became a bridge to a new species. Because of this Lucy undergone a long and life threatening transition from the human life to a primate life, where she is trying to diverge back into her original species.
What we can learn from Lucy is that is easy to split primates into another species by teaching them what we know. We can also learn that once a species make a move forward it is hard for them to move back. We can also learn that other species can evolve to learn live and evolve to be intelligent like us. From this story I will take away the fact about how easily it took a species to diverge and how long it took for them to remerge in one life time. I will also take away how the people in the story treated her and cared for her.
